The Tenth Edition of the NICE Classification |

|
The Tenth Edition of the NICE Classification for the purposes of the registration of trademarks will come into effect on 1 January 2012. In accordance to the Third Schedule of the Trade Marks Regulations 1997, the Tenth Edition of the Nice Classification is adopted by the Malaysian Trademarks Office.
The effects are:
* Application filed up until 31 December 2011 shall be filed in accordance with the Ninth Edition of the NICE Classification.
* Applications filed on or after 1 January 2012 shall be filed in accordance with the Tenth Edition of the NICE Classification.
* There will be no reclassification of goods and services for existing applications filed prior to 1 January 2012, after the Tenth Edition of NICE Classification comes into force.
